A former CBC radio host, Lovarra first captivated the music scene five years ago with her uplifting rooftop concerts during the COVID quarantines, followed by her debut release Raghat Boogie. Since then, she’s been crafting and releasing original singles as quickly as she can mix them, and now her first themed EPs are making an impact.
Classically trained in piano for ten years from the age of six, Lovarra is a self-taught vocalist who found artistic freedom in her rich contralto tones and impressive four-octave range.
Something is working, because her artistry is already turning heads—she was named Fraser Valley [Vancouver] Music Awards Singer/Songwriter of the Year in 2023, after being recognized as their Jazz Artist of 2020, and co-winning an Emmy in 2020. And this is just the beginning. Lovarra is taking us on a journey, and we can’t wait to see where her music leads next.
